'Today I passed by Peter Slegers' art gallery on Stenenwal. My neighbor pointed out a painting that Peter had just finished. The painting immediately touched me, it really spoke to me. Especially because it incorporates elements that are characteristic of someone we knew well. The work is impressive even without that knowledge, but for me, it adds an extra emotional layer. You can hardly see anything of the person, but in his own way, Peter has captured everything in it that made her so beloved. It is perfect, including the colors he used.'"
